Customers in Greece always pay 24% VAT. Businesses in another EU country with a valid VAT number in VIES pay no VAT (reverse charge). EU customers without a valid VAT number pay 24% VAT. Customers outside the EU pay no VAT. You see the exact amount before you pay.

It depends on the level: from the same or next business day for Machine Only to 3–5 business days for Professional + Review. You see the delivery dates before you pay. Business days follow Greek time and exclude weekends and Greek public holidays; orders placed after 3 p.m. Athens time start the next business day. The translation arrives by email.
The invoice is issued after payment and emailed to you, with the billing details you gave in your order.
Yes. Only the people working on your translation see your files, and they are deleted from our server after delivery, as described in the Privacy policy.
Email us within 14 days of delivery and we fix it free of charge. This applies to every level except Machine Only.

We translate from English into Greek and from Greek into English at four levels: Professional + Review, Professional, Post-edited Machine and Machine Only. The description of each level on this page is part of these terms.
This site accepts plain text of up to 2,000 words, pasted into the form or uploaded as a .txt file. We translate the text only and do not reproduce any formatting. For longer texts, other file formats, or texts that need formatting, request a quote at glossa.com/practical-matters/quotations.
The contract is concluded when your payment is complete and you receive a confirmation email with your order reference.
The price is calculated per word of the source text, by service level, with a minimum charge of €10.00 per order. Per-word prices exclude VAT. The final amount, with or without VAT, is shown before you pay.
If VIES is unavailable when you order, VAT is charged. If your VAT number is confirmed later, we refund the difference.
Payment is made through PayPal only. PayPal processes your payment details; we never see or store them.
Your invoice or receipt is issued after payment and emailed to the address you gave. You are responsible for the accuracy of your billing details.
The translation is delivered by email as plain text. Turnaround times are counted in business days from payment confirmation. Business days follow Athens time and exclude weekends and Greek public holidays. Orders confirmed after 3 p.m. Athens time count from the next business day. The delivery window shown before payment is our target; we deliver no later than its last day, and if anything delays the work, we will tell you by email.
If you find a mistake, email us within 14 days of delivery and we will correct it free of charge. This does not apply to Machine Only, which is delivered without review and may contain errors. Changes to the source text, or style changes you did not ask for, are not corrections.
Consumers in the EU have the right to withdraw within 14 days of the contract (Greek Law 2251/1994). Because you expressly ask for the translation to start right away, you lose this right once the service is complete. If you withdraw before completion, you owe the amount for the work already done.
We use your text only to carry out your order. Only the people working on your translation can access it, and they are bound by confidentiality.
Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the order concerned, unless the damage results from intent or gross negligence, or consumer law provides otherwise. We are not responsible for the use of Machine Only translations where accuracy is required.
Greek law applies. Please contact us first about any issue. Consumers may also turn to the Hellenic Consumer Ombudsman (synigoroskatanaloti.gr) for out-of-court resolution.

Some providers, such as PayPal, may process data outside the EU. When they do, appropriate GDPR safeguards apply, such as standard contractual clauses.
This site uses no cookies and no analytics or advertising tools. At the payment step the PayPal button loads, and PayPal may use its own cookies under its own policy.
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, port and object to the processing of your data. To exercise these rights, email [email@loc.gr]. You can also file a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr).
The connection to this site is encrypted (HTTPS). Your text is stored in a server folder that cannot be reached from the internet.
